Julie - Thanks for sharing your love of "<a href="http://www.chinaberry.com/prod.cfm/pgc/11100/sbc/11103/inv/3682" rel="nofollow">Owl Moon</a>" by Jane Yolen. I enjoy reading this book with my girls. Although we live in Southern California, "Owl Moon" can take us to the chilly, serene, snow-packed woods of the story.

I love this passage at the end of the story: "When you go owling you don't need words or warm or anything but hope. That's what Pa says. The kind of hope that flies on silent wings under a shining Owl Moon."
--------------------------
We, here at Chinaberry, hope to bring you many more author interviews in the future.

My children loved "Owl Moon" by Jane. The book came with an audio tape of the book read by the author. The combination of the book with the pictures and the spoken text read by the author really transported me back to my childhood and being with my dad. I get melancholy just thinking about it. This is probably one of the top childrens' books of all time.
