I love your quotations about children. I think this organization, right here at Chinaberry, is one of the greatest tools that parents and teachers have at this time. When I got two catalogs I gave one to the small school where I work. They loved it.

I like the feel of this place…the purpose, the mission statement, the doing the best they can do attitude, and the willingness to help now with this kind of blog.

    Thank you all.

Passing this forward to all I know at school.

I live this everyday because I am a fourth grade teacher! Each child I interact with deserves love and respect. I know my own children are so deep already with their insight about life. My seven-year-old told me the other night that she’s waiting for God to show her what her special gift is and I told her about all of the things that I already love about her. She said, “Oh, Mom, everybody has that stuff. I want to know the special thing that He only gave me.” You know what I thought? Her ability to wonder about such things already reveals her special gift!

So very true. Often I meet parents and other adults who treat children as “beings” that are not fully formed yet. I believe a person of any age is complete at any and every stage. All any of us have is Now.
